Top executives and specialists from leading manufacturers in Russia, Belarus, Türkiye, and China, technology and service providers, distributors, and research institutes attended the Lubricants Market Leaders Congress. Delegates discussed forecasts, challenges, new opportunities, sales markets, development of lubricants, oils and technical fluid production, product quality assurance, additive and raw material production, innovative solutions and retail business efficiency.
The event took place on February 17-18, 2025, hotel Hilton Leningradskaya in Moscow, supported by LLK-International, RN-Lubricants, SIBUR, QUALITET Group, NEO Chemical, Wildberries & Russ and Association of Refiners and Petrochemists. Organizer: by Energy Leader.

LUBRICANTS 2025 Executive Congress was opened by an overview of lubricants and additives market and current projects in the Russian Federation, presented by B2X Consulting and Association of Refiners and Petrochemists. Analysis of Russian market retail sales contained 2024 history data and addressed issues of product range expansion and quality improvement. Anatoly Filatkin, CEO of B2X Consulting, noted the growing competition in the domestic market and the need to optimize marketing strategies and logistics to achieve product diversity and premium quality. Alexander Ivanov, CEO of Association of Refiners and Petrochemists, emphasized the need to consolidate efforts and develop raw material production and environmentally friendly additives to meet customer needs.

During Discussion Club dedicated to quality assurance in the lubricants market, experts discussed approaches, comparing standards for “on-site analysis” and laboratory testing, oil labeling. The roundtable discussion was moderated by Alexander Antonov, Technical Director, International Testing Center for Fuels and Lubricants.

At the Congress, new production technologies were presented as part of the Production Development session, represented by LLK-International, Ecokhimmash, and QUALITY Group.

LLK-International shared information about new developments in transmission & hydraulic oils and ATF technologies during the Additives & Components session. Participants were introduced to SIBUR’s product offers for the industry. MAX-NN presented Maxoil’s depressant and thickening additives. Chinese company Hangzhou Bais Chemical Technology representative focused on oil additive packages designed to prevent corrosion.

Discussion on raw materials for functional additives and high-performance additive packages for modern lubricants generated particular interest among the Congress delegates. Discussion Club was presented by the experts: Vladimir Kovalev, CEO, Plastneftekhim; Alexey Telepen, Leading Expert and Technologist, IAS Engineering and Consulting; Alexander Ivanov, CEO, Association of Refiners and Petrochemists; Konstantin Rudyak, CEO, RN-R&D Center; Alexander Medzhibovsky, Chairman of the Board, QUALITET Group; and Vladimir Kapustin, Head of Department, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.

The second day of the Congress was opened by representatives from Slavneft-YANOS, SPA Pribor Gank, RPE Thermal Technologies, Vortexprom Rus, A.V.Topchiev Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis, RAS, New Technologies Watch Center and TIANJIN J&D TECHNOLOGY, sharing their developments, technologies and developed solutions.

The importance of marketing strategies and effective tools for sales growth was highlighted during the Discussion Club “Product Range, Sales, and Marketing”. Experts from B2X Consulting, Lubribase and Wildberries & Russ discussed sales growth tools, product range policies, product portfolio management and marketplace marketing trends.

All industry participants had the opportunity to exchange opinions and establish business contacts in informal atmosphere during coffee breaks, lunch and an evening Gala Reception.
